How to book your appointment:
To book an appointment with Mr Hartley at either 234 Great Portland Street or Great Ormond Street Hospital please call Angela or Maria on 020 7390 8352. You can also email a request for an appointment but it is easier to speak by phone so that we can take all the relevant information for registration. You will also be asked about the nature of your child’s problem. This will help determine whether your child requires further tests, such as a hearing test, ultrasound, etc, prior to seeing Mr Hartley – where possible, we always try and minimise the number of visits your child has to make to the clinic.
Once the appointment is confirmed, we will email you an Appointment Confirmation Letter which will includes a Registration form for you to complete online.
It is advisable that at least one parent attends with their child for the appointment.
Please do not attend the hospital if you or any member of your household have developed persistent/continuous cough, high temperature, loss of taste or smell
What to expect at your initial appointment?
234 Great Portland Street
Please arrive at 234 Great Portland Street 10 minutes prior to your appointment in order to allow time for Registration by the Hospital team. The Registration team may take an imprint of your credit/debit card to be used to pay for further tests, such as hearing test, blood tests, ear/nose swabs, etc.
Mr Hartley’s consulting room is on the 2nd floor. On arrival at the second floor you will be greeted by one of our lovely Health Care Assistants and asked to take a seat in the Waiting Area. Mr Hartley will then call your child in to the consulting room.
After the consultation Mr Hartley may ask you to make a follow up appointment which Angela/Maria will be able to book for you.
Great Ormond Street Hospital
Please arrive at The International Patient Centre at least 20 minutes prior to your appointment in order to allow time for Registration by the Hospital team. The Registration team may take an imprint of your credit/debit card to be used to pay for the consultation and further tests, such as blood tests, ear/nose swabs, etc.
You will then be directed to either the Sight & Sound Centre (located on the corner of Queen Square & Great Ormond Street) or to Caterpillar Out-patients for your appointment with Mr Hartley.
After the consultation, if Mr Hartley wishes to see your child again please telephone Angela/Maria on 020 7390 8352 to arrange a further appointment.
